Luke 1:44
“For indeed, as soon as the voice of your greeting sounded in my ears, the babe leaped in my womb for joy.”
How quick I am to give thanks and be grateful throughout the
day for the many blessings of wisdom and His intervention on my behalf. However,
during those same moments, He wants me to add joyfulness.
The joy mentioned in the above scripture is found only in
Luke 1:14 and Luke 1:44. It means
exceeding joy or extreme joy. It represents how an unborn child felt just
listening to the voice of Jesus’ mother.
Today, try having extreme joy, exceeding joy, or leap for
Joy as often as you can. Try to add joyous enthusiasm throughout your day or as
often as you praise and give gratitude to Him. This behavior change may require
a heart or mindset change for many of us who have created a standard response
to the Lord’s help on our behalf. It does not mean that you have not been
joyful. However, it does mean the number of joyous moments during the day
should increase.
For my song to share, try to make it personal in as many
places as you can in the lyrics. Have a Merry, Merry, Joyful Christmas Day.
